Bear Harmony to New ZealandPosted by chrishermans in Untagged |
Dear followers,
on July the 3rd, during the final concert of NORDKLANG, I was handed over from the Gothenburg Youth Choir to Aarhus Girls Choir to continue my journey around the world. Hence, my stay in beautiful Denmark was very short, because Aarhus Girls Choir were off to Canada on the 5th. Together with their conductor, Helle Høyer, they were going to participate in two categories at the 14th Choral Kathaumixw. And boy, I was glad to travel with this particular group of girls! They became 2nd in the category "Contemporary Music" and 1st in the category "Youth Choir". At the final concert they were awarded with the prize for "Best Performance of a Canadian Work" - AND on top of that they received the "Choir of the World"-award, which means that they beated all the other winning choirs. What a great moment! So you can imagine, that I heard a lot of beautiful singing during that week. One of my other favourites at the Kathaumixw was the Secondary Students Choir from New Zealand. Luckily my friends from Aarhus Girls Choir agreed with me to let me carry on my journey with this choir. So that's it: I'm off to New Zealand.
Lots of love,

Dear friends,
Dear friends, May 19th I already left my friends of the Adolf Fredrik Musikklassers flickkör in Stockholm, conducted by Bo Johansson, and joined for almost a fortnight the Brunnsbo musikklassers flickkör, conducted by Anne Johansson. During their big Jubilee concert in the Gothenborg Concert Hall for the Brunnsbo music classes 25th anniversary, I was handed to the Gothenborg Youth Choir. Oh, how I love Sweden and my Swedish friends. But I'll soon continue my trip and will travel to Denmark! Exciting, isn't it? The Gothenborg Youth Choir soon will take me along to NORDKLANG in Denmark where they'll meet a few other youth choirs. One of these choirs will take me along to their home town and help me to continue my world tour. Many regards and see you soon!
I’m particularly looking forward to meet the audience who get-together at the Halle market square May 8th. After having enjoyed many Hallo citizens by walking along the “Singing Mile” and singing in front of the shops of the Halle Boulevard, all participating choirs will gather on the market square to sing together.
Hi , I’m Bear Harmony and at the moment I’m living with the “Ulrich von Hutten” Children’s Choir in Halle / Saale (Germany) . In the spring of 2010, during the 58 European Music Festival for Young People Neerpelt, the choir welcomed me in its family in order to let me join some beautiful musical events.
Just before taking off to Germany, I asked my buddy-bears (which happen to be computer freaks) to google for some pictures of me. If I don't make it in the music industry, I 'll go for a carreer as a model or a moviestar !
Finally : on Monday May 3rd I will be leaving together with boys and girls of the childrenschoir "Ulrich von Hutten" to Germany : destination Halle / Saale. I"ve been waiting a long time for this and I am really looking forward to meet new people and enjoy other cultures. Visit my
Just as during the 57th edition of the EMJ, this year, the orginazors will send a teddy bear on a journey around the world again. Bear "Harmony" will be given to the conductor of an international choir on Sunday the 2nd of May. The intent is that bear "Harmony" will travel from youth choir to youth choir and from country to country during two years to arrive in Neerpelt again at the beginning of May 2012, during the 60th EMY. Bear "Harmony" will certainly get promotion for the EMY and he'll let choirs by who he stayed as a guest regularly send news concerning his experiences to the EMY secretariat in Neerpelt. Just like with the journey of bear "Symfony" you'll be able to follow the journey of bear "Harmony" on this website as well.

The string orchestra of Liszt Ferenc Music School. Györ's music education has a history of more than 140 years, in which the Liszt Ferenc Music School played an active role since 1952. Since 2001, the string orchestra of Liszt Ferenc Music School has worked in its present form. In 2004, Mr. István Baranyai took over the lead of the orchestra . The purpose of this reorganisation was to create a music group especially for young people. This meant that young, talented pupils got more opportunities, hereby represented by the city of Györ.
